Morgan Hill Residence Renovation

Concept Design

This interior renovation takes a large, badly laid-out living area, cut off from the back yard and with a separate kitchen (see first image above), and transforms it into a spacious, light-filled Great Room with an open kitchen and direct connections to the outdoor living areas in the rear. The open beamed ceiling is extended over the kitchen and Dining Room, with a clerestory skylight and "chimney effect" ventilation for natural cooling and abundant daylight. End walls are clad in stone, flooring is reclaimed wood, and the cabinets will be locally manufactured of FSC Certified Woods.
